Summer Is Over - August 9, 2024

Dear Reader,

I'm sad to say summer has ended. At least for an old tiger, the day job calls me back to school. The first day of classes is Monday. It's a bittersweet moment.

I enjoy being a teacher, but it pales compared to writing and playing with my stories. Putting all the issues with self publishing and marketing aside, the world of the dream still draws me back to escape the grind of the education system.

Returning to work means I once again must leave the dream and focus my attention on reality. I'm lucky I enjoy the youthful enthusiasm of my students, but one day it must end. I can only pray the dream is enough to support me when I must leave the world of education behind.

Thank you to everyone who supports my continued efforts in the dream and has enjoyed the summer of increased shenanigans. I hope you'll stay with me as I slow down once more.

In Publishing News:

The audiobook episodes of the stories in Kingdom Rising are currently continuing to publish on YouTube. I've blown past chapter 30 in A Pack Forms. As the video chapters of the audiobook post, I'm linking them to the serial. So now, the high quality Google single voice digital narration will be available for readers who purchase the miniseries or who choose to Read the Draoithe Saga.

Kiss Dark launches wide August 14, 2024. It's currently available for preorder. If reading the stories in serial isn't your thing and you prefer to own the books, the paperbacks are currently available. If you need a signed copy, please buy directly from me.

Chapters of Nephilim's Claim are in edits and are posting to the Valkyrie Riders Miniseries. The book stands at over forty-three thousand words and includes thirty chapters. I'm hoping to have it posted and then published before the holidays. There won't be a preorder on this title because of the day job slow down.

This work in progress isn't anywhere close to being published. It currently has over twenty-two thousand words, but I wanted to share at least a snippet.

The muse is fickle and mostly insane, so whether she sticks with this story and finishes it before switching gears into another tale, I can't say.
