Druid Dragon Base Art

Not Another Black Friday Sale - November 28, 2025

Dear Reader,

I think I'll skip Black Friday this year, maybe forevermore. The last thing you probably need is another percent-off/get-it-before-the-deal-ends message in your inbox. Instead, I'd like to tell you about new story news.

The muse is totally insane. She went wild, posting all the parts of the short story Druid Dragon in the Lyons Gate Miniseries by November 20, 2025. Over the weekend following, the videos posted on YouTube, character art went up for sale, the ebook and audiobook published on OpheliaKee.com, and by the time you read this, Druid Dragon will be live on most retailers.

Veoran O'Dwyer from Druid Dragon by Ophelia Kee

I hope you'll love Zania and Veoran as much as I did. It's an instalove tale with low steam and heavy noble dark fantasy. But I wouldn't read it as a standalone. Druid Dragon is volume 6 in the Lyons Gate Miniseries.

When I have the energy, the muse uses it. The dream is enormous and full of stories. I'm driven to publish it all as fast as I can to make room to write the parts that remain only ideas. I often feel as if banking the stories only compounds the issue.

I'm always writing, but I spend more time editing and publishing than writing these days just to get the dream in print. So when a short story pops up that needs only a minimal edit and can go out to the public quickly, I have no issue with pressing publish and moving on to more daunting tasks. This story was cute and fun to write, albeit dark.

Writing remains the best part of the dream. Even though I have a mountain of stories yet to edit and publish, I accepted an invitation to join an anthology. I'm currently working on a LARKS North Collection tale for Crow Town.

For those who've read the Royal Council Miniseries, it seemed as if no one from the Cioaran Enclave survived Peter Elliot's attack except for Mihaela and Andrei. I've always wanted to explore the truth of that assumption. The short tale for the anthology offered me a chance to do just that.

I look forward to sharing the dream in a new way with this amazing opportunity. The story will publish with the Crow Town Anthology first, then appear in the LARKS North Collection and be otherwise exclusive to OpheliaKee.com after that. Be on the lookout for more on that in future posts.

And now a word from our sponsor, Ophelia Kee.

Magic breathes life into the dream. The gods themselves aren't sure just how sentient it is, but one thing is certain. Without magic, the dream ceases to exist. If a devil gets his way, half the dream will disappear as if it never existed. A group of young immortals have to figure it all out before the time is up, and they don't know the clock is even ticking nor who the true villain is.

Noble Dark, Urban Fantasy with Steamy Paranormal Romance Stories. Includes Fated Mates, 18+, NC! & HEA!

Behind the Scenes

Tiger holding a magnifying glass

Having been at this for years, marketing and promoting have never been my strong suit, and I constantly realize I did something wrong. It usually involves my spending hours or sometimes days or weeks to correct the issue. The larger the dream becomes, the harder it is to wrangle everything.

For example, I learned long ago to put links at the ends of the ebooks to help readers continue the journey into the dream, and I expanded that idea with scannable QR codes in my print books. I haven't found a suitable similar concept for audiobooks, but if I do, I'll incorporate it. Using Books2Read universal book links and the universal author page helps tremendously.

Recently, I realized my OpheliaKee.com offerings lacked links to peruse other formats for the stories. Should someone click on a post link out in the wild and land on an ebook but prefer audiobooks, paperbacks, bundles, or the serial, the ability to click directly to that listing would create less friction. I'm currently updating my book listings to appear as follows.

Other Formats

📱 Ebook

🎧 Audiobook

📖 Paperback

📚 Series Bundles

🎁 Draoithe Saga

This is probably going to take a while. But I hope it will make it easier for readers to purchase the stories in a way that works best for them. My only regret is that I didn't think of it sooner.
