On The Horizon - 2026

Dear Reader,

It's time to look ahead to 2026. This year will mark the tenth anniversary of the creation of the dream. It has come a long way since I deleted it and started over. It has come further since it all went out of print, got reorganized with fresh coats of paint, and returned with audio, serials, and more.

There are currently 50 titles published in the dream. There are 50-more-plus in some stage of writing, revision, or edits. With 15 miniseries, it's a sprawling franchise of stories, art, audio, video, and extras.

It's not smooth sailing, even if it's obvious that over fifty more stories need to see the light of day. There are choppy waters ahead. Not all of those stories are complete manuscripts. I must find the time to finish them, but the muse is always the problem.

Every time she discovers something new, I don't argue. I simply add it. This has created a significant slowdown on the publishing front, but I'm much happier with the quality of the content available in the dream.

With that, I must announce that character art is sun-setting in favor of book art. Book art will provide much better value and also be easier to search. It will include all the character art, the infographics, the original quote cards, frontispieces, and book description. I'm toying with adding illustrated scenes from the story as well.

The muse wants more music. After ⁨@OkMusicWriters⁩ wrote and shared Enter The Dream, a writing tiger has been obsessed with crafting poetry, songs, and music for the books. The vision of crafting the books as graphic novels or anime-style films has never faded either. The Draoithe Saga should probably have its own magazine.

The dream is intense and far large enough to have all of this. The question has always been the money and the time. With all the technology available, so much more is possible ten years from its humble origins that there are now more possibilities for the dream than I originally imagined, and all without relinquishing creative control.

My more realistic goals for 2026 can't be so grandiose. The proper day job will inevitably get in the way. Last year I published 13 titles. I would like to attempt a repeat performance in 2026. So, I will shoot for another 12 books and one exclusive flash fiction or short story.

I already have the Larks North Tale, but it will publish in the Crow Town Anthology first in March. Now I just need to map out a book a month and see what happens. I want to publish A Gryphon Knight Condemned in January. This year will probably see the rest of Druid Dominion (5+ titles), the last two stories in Lyons Gate, and more of Dread Desire published. If I manage it, more book bundles will become available. I want to make print bundles available as well.

It's ambitious, and undoubtedly the muse will get into more shenanigans as she discovers more ways to expand the dream. I sincerely hope you will join me on the journey. It's going to be another wild publishing ride in 2026! The seas are choppy and the light on the horizon is small, but we can't stop now. The dream demands its life, and an old writing tiger is eager to bow to those demands.
