Truth in Thanksgiving - November 14, 2025

Dear Reader,

It's late, the ninth hour as I write this. I suppose I could have had AI write a post. But I didn't. I doubt I ever will. If I died and my relatives took over, maybe they would clone my tiger voice and have the computer create new content in my style, but I'm not dead yet.

I'm just exhausted. I promised to always speak the truth with Ophelia Kee Speaks, so here I am, showing up for myself, acknowledging my human failing.

This post will be shorter than I had hoped. I wanted to tell you that Fire Incarnate was complete. It's not. I wanted to tell you how far I got on edits in Druid Dragon or Gryphon Knight Condemned, but I got nowhere.

I posted more episodes in Druid Dominion, but I didn't meet my goal. It's okay. I haven't quit. I just need to rest, but my vacation won't arrive for another week. It never fails that I want to post more and publish faster. The reality I always face is a lack of time to do what I want because I always do what I must.

The day job is real. It pays the bills. It leaves me empty inside as the years roll on, but it still offers me the means to continue to write the stories the muse wants written, so I must abide it. Thanks for looking into the still-beating heart of an aging tiger. In this the month of thanksgiving, it is my readers for whom the muse remains ever thankful.

They say the lion is the king of the jungle, but it always seemed to me that the jungle preferred a striped queen. In the dream, it is a tiger who quietly rules, and her loyal direwolf mate always gives her what she desires.
