What's Wrong With Wizards? - March 20, 2026
Dear Reader,
We need to talk about the wizards. Do you know what's wrong with them? No? Me neither.
They are incredibly curious, but most of them are easily corrupted by evil. In all the dream, I've only met seven who aren't evil. Wizards have this grand ability to learn and use every magic in the dream, but the power usually rushes to their heads, causing their ultimate destruction once they commit to the side of darkness.
As for the seven known wizards working on the side of good, their addiction to their search for and obtainment of their brides seems to be what stands them in good stead to avoid that fate. It certainly didn't hurt that they ran across powerful immortal kingdoms with which to align themselves. Failing to find a bride and the taint of a wizard who involves himself intimately with women causes the corruption and pushes them over the edge to their doom in the darkest recesses of the dream. But why that is, is anyone's guess.
What I still want to know is how much Demon Lady Bushyasta's lies have played a role in the sinister end awaiting most wizards, especially those living at the Wizard's Circle. If she is eliminated from the dream, will wizards lean away from the wicked? The only way I know to discover how deeply the corruption has spread is to continue writing the stories in the Draoithe Saga.
Axel Wyndham will soon land at Draoithe with his demon bride. I don';t want to give away to much, but life will never be the same for the Druid pack. Even so, it will take a lot more stories to understand what went wrong at the Wizard's Circle and why so many wizards slid into iniquity.

Thread, the entry point into the world of the dream.
Unraveling chaos with each tattered thread
A thousand years ago, chaos escaped into the dream. By 2016, shadowy evil forces using madness were wreaking havoc on the balance of magic and erasing necessary parts of an ancient prophecy. In danger of losing its magic, the dream attempts to use broken pieces and replacement parts to weave a new tapestry. Choosing the right building blocks isn’t easy.
In this exhilarating prequel tale, meet Luke and Eli, two characters with fascinating pasts and complicated secrets, before they become the king and queen the dream needs them to be. Luke Mendez is a retired military man. Having anxiety, he spies the beautiful girl next door, but then struggles to introduce himself. Eli Miller, the high school history teacher, worked tirelessly for years to break free from a terrible relationship. She moved to Tyler to start over.
Thread is the story of a lonely direwolf shifter and a lone tiger shifter in a time before the two of them meet each other. It sets the stage for A Pack Forms, an enthralling urban fantasy with a paranormal romance tale in the epic Draoithe Saga by Ophelia Kee. If you enjoy the story before the story, Thread is your free introduction to a new series.
Welcome to the dream…
Behind the Scenes

It may be difficult for you to believe, but occasionally even this old writing tiger must take a break from storytelling. On Sunday, I did just that. It was a lazy day; no work, no book stuff, no crazy shenanigans. I loafed around, watched YouTube, and caught up on some light reading.
In the middle of March, whether it suits me, I take a vacation from the day job. While on Spring Break, I hopped on a supersonic jet in the dream to get as much accomplished as I can. I won't drive you crazy with all the details here. If you need to know what's new in the Draoithe Saga, check the Draoithe Saga News. It publishes every weekend on Sundays.
That will give me time to actually enumerate all the crazy that I got up to this week. There's still a few days left, and I intend to take full advantage. The jet has been refueled. It's time to fly.

Thank you for stepping into the dream once more. I need to get back on the supersonic jet and fly the dream straight into Monday morning. Leave your comments and questions. I love to hear from you. If you found this post worthy, please feel free to share it. If you are listening on YouTube, don't forget to like and subscribe for more original stories and audio adventures! Special thanks to @OkMusicWriters for Enter The Dream. I hope you have a lovely weekend and will discover a grand story. Please remember when you read, be kind and leave your reviews. Until my next post, welcome to the dream…
