The chance discovery of an out-of-state employment offer for her long-time roommate has Megan reviewing her life's situation. Neither of them is human, and navigating as immortals in a human world isn't easy. Yet the vampire and the bear aided one another, and the possibility of losing her friend has Megan questioning her relationship with Alex and what it means for her.

This is a flash fiction tale set in the dream, a fantasy world created by Ophelia Kee while writing the Draoithe Saga. Inspired by the dark fiction fairy tales of ancient Europe, Stained Ink allows one to step into a scene in which a hesitant immortal couple must navigate the issues faced by many young couples in the modern age.
