In a world where love can be as sharp as a vampiric fang, Chris thought his bond with Daniella was eternal. He adored her fiery spirit, a trait so potent her claws often betrayed her emotions. But on a frosty autumn night, the woman he cherished delivered a blow more devastating than any supernatural attack.
With a chilling smile and the barest hint of her fangs, Daniella declared him "hard-hearted" and walked away, leaving Chris's world shattered. He watched, helpless, as his love bled out on the cold concrete sidewalk. What use was a heart, he wondered, if it could be so easily broken, so readily discarded?
As the car carrying Daniella and his future disappeared, Chris made a choice. He would embrace the void, becoming the very thing Daniella accused him of: heartless. For in a world where vampires thrive without souls, perhaps a man truly can survive without a heart.
